Terms of Service

By creating an account or using urCooked, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The Service

urCooked is a household cooking planner that helps families coordinate meals, manage recipes, create shopping lists, and plan their kitchen calendar. The service is available as a web app and native mobile app.

2. Accounts

• Each account represents one household ("kitchen").
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must provide a valid email address during registration.
• You may add household members ("chefs") to your kitchen. You are responsible for any content they create.

3. Subscriptions

• urCooked offers a free tier with limited features and a premium subscription.
• Subscriptions are purchased and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple or Google according to their terms.
• We do not process payment information directly — all payments go through Apple or Google.

4. Your Content

• You retain ownership of all content you create (recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, images).
• By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process it to provide the service.
• You may delete your content at any time. Deleting your account removes all associated data permanently.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit the service
• Use automated tools to scrape or overload the service

6. AI Features

urCooked uses AI (OpenAI) to scan and extract recipe information from photos. AI-generated content may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any AI-extracted recipes before use.

7. Availability

We aim to keep urCooked available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control.

8. Limitation of Liability

urCooked is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time via Settings.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
• Upon termination, all your data is permanently deleted.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the Netherlands.
